I think it looks great. I would keep it constant and do it on both sides. Some black wheels would look bomb.

Mopar? Hash marks on the fender came from the Grand Sport Corvette.

They have been around a lot longer than that! And dodge is now using them in their badges in their commercials

Re: 10-14 V6 Mustang Pics/Mods. Post Here!

Shelby used them on his cars in 63. The origin of the hash marks are a little confusing.

They are from the 60's when road racing was king. All the cars from each country have a paint scheme. USA was White with blue strips. If you were a driver you had the hash marks of your colors to id your car from others on your team I have heard...

I have also heard that they put them on the side of the steering for drivers that drove multiple cars around the world because the steering side would often change between cars.

People say Steve McQueen had them put on his Datsun on the Door where the steering wheel was so he could remember which side of the car to get in on.. It was a right side drive.

Carroll was using them long before McQueen when he raced.

Others say the Corvette teams had the hash marks on their team cars so that the crew would know which car came into the pits so they could record it. 1 hash for car one... 2 hash for car two etc.

In any case, It was used for a purpose in racing as a cue for the driver and team but it has now become popular as a graphic on street cars. I like the one side because of its heritage and paying respect to the sport.

Ya IDK about doing both sides but the black wheels would really help.

Re: 10-14 V6 Mustang Pics/Mods. Post Here!

2013 Race Red MCA convertible. I replaced the rear spoiler with a GT/CS 4 post in black. Then I won a makeover by Classic Design Concepts - $2,000+ worth of appearance parts that they installed. Finished it up yesterday.

RTR grill, chin spoiler, side skirt, and rear diffuser, RTR license plate surround, light bar, hood graphics, custom lighted door sills (can't find the picture now - it says "Woodward Dream Cruise 2012" on the left, center lighted section says "2013 MCA EDITION" and the right hand side says "By Classic Design Concepts").

I am trying to figure out how to mount a tri-bar badge to the passenger side of the grill. Need to fabricate a mount of some kind. I don't want it on the driver side because that is where the air is drawn in and I don't want to block it with a badge. I need to find a GT/CS black billet lower grill and swap that too.

Re: 10-14 V6 Mustang Pics/Mods. Post Here!

Found the picture of the door sills. It was in my Woodward Dream Cruise folder. They started on the make over at the Dream Cruise in Mustang Alley. Also this picture shows the stock license plate area for a comparison.

Wowza... I want that RTR license plate surround. The stock one is a bit overkill in blandness.

ok. so I had these magnaflow comps (they are deletes with resonators) sitting here and decided to swap them in. NOT DIGGIN IT.

Inside the car it sounds really farty and buzzy.

Outside it is loud. Not as farty and buzzy but not for me.
One clip fo driving around. Other one at idle after it was warm. Rev from 700 to 3000 and then about 30 seconds in Rev from 700 to 4000.

Thanks. And here is the link to the RTR license plate. I can't tell you how it installs though. This time we were at the CDC shop and they took the car in the back to finish it -and then take it out with their photographer for pictures - so I didn't see this part of the installation.

Eep! $200 for two holes. Sounds like an expensive night in a cheap hotel.

lol. Ya. Exactly... But it isnt slow. It isnt nearly as quick as my last one and doesnt have the roar of a V8 but it is way faster than old fox body 5.0's I have owned and even 281 2v's. Id say it is very on par with my last 281 3v when it was stock.

once I get this one boosted it will be faster but I dont knwo if I will get it to sound cool. I think I will probably go back to the stock cans for now..

This is what I am used too. lol

Turbo. It changes the way the exhaust sounds completely. I bet it will make these exhaust on these cars more mellow.

Me and my wife did mine also. Caused a few arguements lol.
And on the front bumper i ended up having to cut it into 3 pieces to make it look straight. It was rough and hott. I did a section a day after work when i had time.

Maybe a dumb question. Are you concerned at all about the paint under the stripe? Will the stripe trap moisture? Is there an adhesive used to keep them on? New guy here, so feel free to school me on adding vinyl stripes.
