Those go-pro's are nice. I'd like to grab myself one eventually. How do they mount on the car btw?

Re: Filming with my GoPro

There are 3 different packages you can get, I got the "motorsports" package. It comes with a large suction cup. So you can suction cup it to a window, then pivot the gopro in any angle you would like. Then I got the add on wifi pack, so I can control it from a keypad attached to my wrist. It helps a lot while driving. So I can completely control the cameras electronics without having to stop and lean over and touch the camera itself.

I like it a lot, in that particular video, I didn't have a particular setting turned on (that I learned about later) so next time the video should be a bit brighter, and less hazy. I will post it when I have it. Let me know if you have any more questions!

What program do you use to edit your videos together . I have a gopro 2 . I have a lot of video but don't know how to combine them to make a cool video. Any help would be great

Re: Filming with my GoPro

Only thing I see is the need for an external mic when doing exterior shots. I assume the wind had it sounding funky.

Adobe Premiere. It says in the video at the beginning.

Re: Filming with my GoPro

I used Adobe Premiere Pro. It is just about the best PC editing software out there. Its around $500 though. If you don't want to spend money, you could try windows movie maker, if I recall correctly, it is free to download from Microsoft, but I have never used it so I don't know how good it is. Go Pro also comes with its own editing software, I have never used it but you could try that as well.

I'm about to pull the trigger on one now. What size SD card would be sufficient for a few hours of video?http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-US

At SEMA they were offering 100 bucks off any camera if you signed up to their mailing list.

I use a 32GB card, I have recorded 4 hours at most with plenty of room. I am not sure how much it can hold though. Whatever you do get, make sure its Class 10. I wouldn't recomend anything below 16 though. You know that the HD Hero 3 is out. If you are getting a new camera, I would recommend you just go for the 3. IMO

Yeah, I saw that. But I'll be happy with the hero 2. I don't really wanna spend $300+ for a camera that I'm going slap on the side of my car and go sliding around a parking lot with. Lol.

lol, I see your point. I am hoping to get the Hero 3 for Christmas, then I'll sell my 2. Also, my guess is that you would be more limited by battery life then room on the SD card. I tend to run out of juice at 2 hours, with room still on the SD card. If you don't care about controlling it wirelessly , I would recommend you get the battery back, which doubles its battery life.

I have the 3 black ed on preorder & theres an app which Im hoping will make editing painless. Ive put together hour plus videos that can take damn near a day to render in PremierePro.
EDIT: Oh someone mentioned that. Anyone use their app?

I have the app for the iphone, and I love it, I mainly use it when I am putting it in my car, to make sure the video is angled right, since it does (almost) live playback.

I am not sure, my guess would be no, but it might. I have never tried.

I looked it up, and you can charge and record, just not through a computer. So you would have to get a USB adapter for a wall outlet, then you could charge and record.

btw
I got pulled over about a month ago, and I recorded it. As soon as my court case is over, I'll post it.
