What's wrong with the brushes?

its not necessarily the softness, i wouldn't use the brushes at my car wash (even if they were soft) because you dont know what they were used on last. they could be riddled with junk that's scratching your car. I personally would use a paper towel on my car before those brushes.

So if you go to a car wash you would use the gun for soap? Or do you just always wash it at home?

i can't wash it at home, no water hose, so i use the water (not the soap) at the DIY car wash and have a bucket and use my own soap.

Like friday, i went to the car wash, soaked her down, soaped her up with dawn, rinsed with the car wash, clay barred, soaped up with Meg's soap then rinsed off then headed home to finish up with the rest. Megs ultimate compound (had to skip the polish this time, damn rain) and Megs carnauba wax

---------- Post added at 09:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:24 PM ----------

never fails either, if I say I'm going to wash the car, people near me better carry their umbrellas that day, because I swear. It could be clear skies for miles, as soon as I finish washing the car BAM! there's the clouds and rarely less then 5 min later, there's the rain.

I would honestly price everything out in your area and compare it to the kits you can buy. It seems like a lot of money but its also new parts vs used and it comes with all the knick knacks you will need for the conversion.

I can't put mine up though, she's my DD, heck, the only car I have right now. tomorrow morning I'll be going over her with a microfiber to make sure she's dry and hopefully no water spots, I only spent about 3 hours Friday cleaning her up and getting those off, the rain is supposed to stop tonight sometime

Yea, it'll be nice for sure when I can afford to get my wife a car of her own. Changing jobs is rough. Especially when you take a hit in pay

Last time I used a brush there as a little tiny rock in it that after just one swipe back and forth across my front bumper cover it scratched it down damn near to the paint from headlight to headlight. First time I had used the brush in years and of course that happened. I was only trying to brush off a few big bugs too. I avoid those things like the plague or at least spray the crap out of it before you use it.

Exactly what everyone else is saying, regardless of the softness you can't tell if someone washed their tires, wheels, 4 wheeler or off road truck. Those brushes have dirt all in them and will scratch the crap out of your paint.

That one doesn't allow for certain wheels like the bullits. Cobras would be fine with it though.

If you want the cheapest way I would get the mark vii front rotors, pass side Aerostar axles from the junkyard and the 9" Aerostar drums.

Thanks man! I take it you checked out my album?

She's been thru hell and back.......she's been burned & stolen (now a 306ci due to the f**k heads who overheated her) and won't go down w/out a fight. Best part about her, she's got a clean title w/the DMV. I love this car till the death of me.

Yes I did lol.

Finally got around to my IRS swap last weekend. Got a Magnaflow catback, Cobra rear brakes, and an IRS brace out of it.
