This happened to mine. It rusted away and would spill gas on the ground when I filled up.

rare occurrence that my Mustang is next to my dad's '75 Corvette in the garage. Always forget how low that damn thing is until I'm looking at the T bar on the roof from my passenger window.

I took it to a shop, didn't have the tools at the time. I read up on it a while back when it happened. You have to empty the fuel tank then just drop the tank and replace it. Didn't sound like a difficult task.

Oh yeah and it's easy to replace.. Just two straps and maybe a fuel line disconnect tool and some sockets then pull it off.

Haha, I bet. Just adding a little salt to the wound from the A-hole who kept driving. When I got hit by a drunk driver in HS I ended up getting leather seats and a Saleen lip kit on my fox body with the extra cash from his insurance. Sucked not having it for a month but funny how I actually benefited from it at the end. I guess there is a little bright side after you get a new bumper cover lol
