Thanks! I've put countless hours in a short amount of time to get it where it is. Still a long road ahead though.

Nice day today so it's out terrorizing. Plus, going to get a price on installing louvers on it, today!

I thought you were a mechanic? Why wouldn't you install that yourself?

Working on a customers car and then going home to work on your own vehicle can be quite draining. I have a tough time finding the motivation to work on my ride at times

My Brother was a Mechanic for 50 years, His Daily Driver was a piece of crap and he took it to the gas station for anything it needed. He said just what you said. I hate working on cars after I come home from work.

It always seemed funny to me though because he had a 32 Ford Street Rod he kept in a row of garages that all his hot rod friends had rented to work on and build the hot rods (Called Gasoline Ally) and would go there and work on his or his friends Street Rods.
Now that I'm older I more understand the difference between him working on a car or working on something he loved.
Ronnie

This is his latest street rod.

I get all that^ and ^^ but shouldn't his roush qualify as something he should really love to work on? He sure talks about it enough. Seems pretty strange that he wouldn't do this on his own.

Hes a mechanic, doesn't work in a auto body shop. And I heard the louvers can be tricky to adhere right. So maybe he just wants to leave it to someone who knows how to do it properly.

Well I really have nothing to say. Being the reasons, for the most part, have been stated. Thanks guys, I could tell who my pals are on the forum.
Maybe to add on it, I used to work at a body shop for a couple of months on summer vacation from school. But I was stationed in the classic car department. So sanding doors, cutting floor pans, welding metal patches, fixing rust, prepping body pieces for primer and paint. So, I guess you could say it was basic body work or novice level.
The people that installed them are extremely good what what they do. One reason I took it to them. They are more of custom interior/stereo systems, but also do mild body kit installs. The car will be returning to them for the Cabron fiber kit to be installed. Pus we do business with them on nearly a daily basis.
I guess you could argue I have a lot to say. So, first sentence is wrong.

This stuff isn't hard. Bottom line is why wouldn't you want to learn and work on your own stuff if you are quite capable? You are always telling people on here about all these things you are doing and want to do as if YOU are doing the work. So I personally was confused on why you wouldn't do this simple job on your own.

Get sad or offended all you want. If you are going to post a million things about what you do and expose us to your projects then be prepared to answer questions those of us may have. Don't like it I guess you could stop posting about it.

[ATTACH]188369[/ATTACHnot a mustang but the owner was complimenting my fox and asked if I could snap a pic of his awesome 67' Camaro. It has a 327 in it making a whopping 330 hp. Lol. Very nice car though. Always had a soft spot for these.
