Mine. 97 GT bought it back in June.
CAI, o/r h-pipe, flowmasters, reverse glow gauges and a Kenwood head unit. Next on the list is a set of smoked or black cobra style headlights.

I don't understand that. You have way more work done to yours and I'm pushing 293hp and 340tq. Mine has all bolt ons unless something else that I don't know about that was done by previous owner(s).

Its weird on how that works, but if the person does the homework on buying bolt ons, the car can make alot of power, sometimes even more than a car that has cams, intake and all that... But once you hit a certain point on hp and torque you have to start doin major changes to get little hp gains unless you put a bottle on it or put forced induction

Yea For me I didn't care for big horse power but my old motor had 160,000k miles on it and it was just bad shape. I had the old block cleaned an bored , checked over and tured out good so the Next mods for me is stroke the block then swap everything over to that block or FI! But that will be a ways down the road .

I wish my car had a 302 in it instead of a 4.6... I've spent nearly 16 grand on building my engine and have had nothin but bad luck, if I had the 302 I could have spent half that and had more power probably and it would be alot easier to work on

I'd like to get the trickflow HCI but man that's a lot of $. Plus I wonder how much I'd benefit from it seeing how my #'s are already.

Idk for sure on how much it gain but I figure around 50 to 60 horses, now if you ever put some boost on it that's when all that would really help

Well jhagan already has gt40 heads , IMO your not going to see 50-60 more horse unless you get worked AFR 225 heads and HolleySystem Max II intake , over the gt40 heads and cobra intake

a gt40 setup is roughly a 20-30 hp imcrease over stock depending. the tfs top end kit claims about 125 hp over stock. i think the gains would be huge.

I know I put gt40 heads on my 91 gt when I had it and I wasn't impressed, I barely felt any difference, but that car was stock other than the heads and cobra intake

when i bolted up a set of tfs heads i had to double check to see if it was the same car on the other side of the gas pedal. lol it was like night and day.

When I was planning in building my 91 alot of my friends that race told me that if I was gonna build an all out drag car with a stroker kit to buy afr heads, but if I was gonna keep it streetable to buy tf... Said afr heads are just to much for a typical street engine especially a 302... Any opinion on that

Many people use afr on the street. the thing that I do know if the tfs combustion chambers are more roomy. With the afrs you can't run a very large cam, even with the 165s. And once you go with the 185s its almost for sure on piston knotching.
But its just one of those opinion things. Like black or white. Manual or auto. They are both great heads along with edelbrock and a few others.

A good friend of mine is a diehard brodix fan, he bought a car that had them heads on it and ever since that's the only heads he will even consider buying, no matter what engine setup he is running lol
