Project Fox Continues - The motor is out

Well, the motor is out. Now the real fun begins....body work.

I think tomorrow will just be taking out the last few things that are in the engine bay, the steering rack, steering wheel, and heater cores out. Oh yeah, and blowing out the 100 pounds of pine needles and over all **** that is in the car.

Here's a link to all the pics:
Project Fox Gallery

Anyhow, here some pics of how the car sits right now.

I'll be sure to change the resolution when I take updated pics tonight. I believe the camera goes up to 2400 x 3200 or somewhere in that range. I'll see what I can do for y'all.

An update to my update though.

Finished pulling everything out of the engine bay last night except the brake lines. Those are coming out next weekend when I pull the gas tank and pull all lines from the car. Also finished taking out the wiring harness from both the engine bay and the interior. The heater core, vents, steering wheel, door glass, and **** on the floor have also vacated the vehicle.

Next is to finish scraping the sound mat from the front and rear of the car, and then the gas tank and fuel lines this weekend. Then it will be on to grinding, cutting, welding, and prepping for paint.

On a related note...in case anyone is curious in the future, an angle grinder with a cut off wheel will quickly and efficiently cut through flesh with the slightest of touch.

There's actually a fox grave yard around here that wants the motor, trans, hood, and some other parts off the car...in return he is giving me an 8.8" rear end out of an 88 GT.

Me and my Pops. There doesn't seem to be much interest outside my house.

That is quite unfortunate... If I lived close enough, I would be over there every weekend. There is nothing like digging into a car and getting all nice and dirty. Must be too many pretty boys around you.
