Thought I'd Share

Well guys, let me start off by saying i have visited the holy land. I turned 21 and took a trip out to vegas. And i decided to stop by the Shelby Museum and Assembly plant. If any of you get the chance, i STRONGLY recommend you go out there. They offer free tours of the museum, free tours of the area where they build the Shelby cobras (no photos allowed), and they take you through the area where they assemble the Gt500 Super Snakes, and GT1000's. (Also no photos but i still snuck a couple from inside) here are some photos from the museum part, and outside the building itself. Also the main attraction is Carol Shelby's very first Cobra he ever built, which he was offered $25 million for, but refused to sell. (the blue cobra pictured) theres also a few others that i'm sure you all know what they are.

From what i gathered, You buy the GT500, bring it to That shelby Location, and for a nice Chunk of change, they'll swap it over to put out the 1100 horses. And it's very cramped in there, so icouldn't really get that good of angles on the cars. /: but if you see that grabber blue one, that's their wide body style. It's got flared fenders and body lines, which i've never seen before. They offer that for the V6 models too (the wide body) i think you give them your car, and they'll do the body kit swap for like 10 grand.

I think I just messed my pants.

I am oddly in love with that widebody. Is that wrong? You know what...

I don't care.

If our love be wrong then I do not want to be right!

$10,000...

KIDNEY FOR SALE.

Yeah, one of only a few. The guy was explaining how back in the day dudes would take it to the track after renting it, take it back home and swap out the shelby motor with their v6 mustang, and bring it back to the rental place. I'll post more photos if i can get the ME app on my phone.

Here are the ones off my phone, couple of different angles, couple of different vehicles. Only one not at the Shelby Museum, is the Eleanor mustang. That's the car they drove from Gone in 60 seconds. That car is located at a private collection in the Harris Casino.

I go the other way with my cars, and will be doing so with my 06. I remove all the badges, all of them. Even on my old STi, I deleted all the badges. Can't stand badges.

If you're a real car guy, you don't need 'em.

Know what I mean?

I think they said there was a package where you can take any car from 05- present and they'd do a package swap for you. But again it'd cost an arm and a leg.

If i had a gt500 or a zr1 i would want the badge to show lol, i dont care about the badge as long as it is original with the car.

If you can't look at my car and tell that it's, for example, a GT500 or ZL1, then I don't care about you.

And I don't need to show off to people I don't care about because to them it's just "a Mustang" or "a Camero" and most of those people hate you anyway for driving what they assume must be a gas guzzling V8.

I'm jaded though.

I don't need badges to tell people what I drive. Like home boy said. Most people only know it by a mustang or a Camaro either way. If somebody wants to know what I drive I tell em straight up. I drive a v6 and I'm proud of it.
