A little suspension work...

Before:

After:

Rake??...Just a little:

That's just H&R Race springs, bottom iso's only on front. Didn't get the tie rod ends on there, the old ones were stubborn so I'll break out the big hammer tomorrow.

Bottomed it out for the first time tonight too...not much room to work with lol. Luckily the K-member brace took the hit.

That k-member brace will be your best friend.

When I had the rake, the bottoming out was horrible. Once I brought the back down some it wasn't as bad, but still hit ona lot of the streets around here.

Well I probably took a chunk out of it last night. The road had a crown on it and it just kept getting worst and worst until I started scraping and the only way I got off was coming to a complete stop and basically forcing the car off the crown.

Yup, been there, done that. I hit a crown coming home from huntsville at around 80 mph....saw chunks of pavement rolling behind me. THat brace will take a serious beating.

Re: A little suspension work...

Got the rear lowered last night, ended up just dropping the front of the IRS to do it, couldn't find an easy way to get it done. Pics to come when it's not raining.

That's how your spodda do it. I couldn't because the tab on the nut sheered off, so I had to get a spring compressor to get things in and out.

Re: A little suspension work...

my rear lowered nice and easy and the springs pretty much fell out, plus the fuel filter was nice and exposed.

Re: A little suspension work...

How does my drop look compared to yours? I think my front went a little lower than most ppl's on these springs.

Re: A little suspension work...

Your drop looks about the same as when I was running the cut rears with the 5.0 H&R's up front with the stock K-Member. Right now, mine is a touch higher than yours with the cut front springs, but that will change when I feel ambitious and I will bring it back down to your level.

It is also about the same as when I had the stock fronts with the QA1 k-member.

I'm trying to decide if I should go lowering springs or coil overs right now. I'm really leaning towards the lower springs right now...but not sure.

I dunno, do the math. A 295/35-18. So.. pretty much..

103.25 MM sidewall on the rear vs 96.25 MM sidewall on the front.

I do know they look like monsters on the back and I love it.

That looks awesome. The rims look very good also, as always! Love those! I think it's probably pretty close between your drop and Rob's. Looks good!
