I should make note that this isn't the finished product... I'm just "mocking up" how I want it to look anodized. I want the black to stay black, but the aluminum, I want to be blue. I figure painting it would be cheaper than anodizing it especially if I didn't like it.

Ignore my dirty interior... oh, and no, I didn't forget the green inserts. They are in now.

Clean your car. A clean car is a happy car. And a happy car is a fast car. And a happy fast car makes the driver happy, and a happy driver makes the world a better place. Clean your car.

Re: had a crazy idea (interior aluminum painting)

that looks pretty stupid, not to mention most people getting in your car are gonna be like "what are these numbers?"

what would look sweet would be getting small vinyl cutouts of either the running pony or actual GT emblem, sticking them on, painting over them and peeling them off in the end.

this is just a mock up... I can easily remove the paint. I had an idea and I ran with it. I wasn't saying omg this is the coolest thing ever... I eluded to it being a crazy idea. Furthermore, the gf knows what they are, the couple friends that frequent my car know what they are. I would like to see the pony or GT emblem on them. I mainly wanted to do it to get a better idea of what it could look like anodized. I didn't want to have them anodized and then not like it. Now I know I can clean them up and have them done (even if I change the 281 to something else). I'm not sure if I would prefer the Pony or the GT thing. I don't want to paint them again.

I'm not trying to look for every little thing... just a way to dress up the interior. I don't like how bright all the aluminum is, and got to thinking how I could make it look a lot better. I think the black and sonic blue would look great.

yeah, and it's not so "blingy". I love a dark interior and after 4 ish years seeing the aluminum every time just gets a little old.
