So a little off topic, but last year I went to Detroit for the auto show... And while I was there, I stopped by the Henry Ford Museum.

Wanted to check out the old school collection...

Keep in mind, the HFM isn't just automobiles but industrial technology evolution examples too...

Anyway, I show up on the opening weekend for the public of the auto show.. And go to the counter to buy tickets to the HFM, and after (note after in that statement) I pay, I'm told the museum's auto exhibit is closed for remodeling... Not to be open for 3 weeks.

THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM. THE AUTO EXHIBIT AT THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM DURING THE PUBLIC OPENING FOR THE DETROIT AUTO SHOW.

so instead I saw trains, tractors, steam engines, so on and so on.

Cool, but not cool.

Ya each year my club usually goes there for our Summer Kick Off Cruise. But last year was closed because of the remodeling. Lol.

There is an old school house from the 1880's near my dad. The next time im out there I will get a few pics. The interior looked about the same size as my bedroom.

Don't worry you didn't miss out much. I went in June and was sort of let down. Aside from the Chrysler turbine car and a few early fords and race cars, it was novelty things like presidential limos and there was even a section with a 91ish Honda accord and 94 dodge ram.....

If you ever head north towards Toronto....stop at RM in blenheim, Ontario....it is about 45 mins from Windsor but it is where all the restoration work is done for RM...the worlds most famous auction company. They have quite amazing and rare cars there and they mostly are waiting to go to auctions so the collection changes every few months.

Still a cool pic. Besides, those pic still fits within this thread. A new pic of something old or just an old pic.
