Lol those tips shouldn't have been that close to the rear fascia in the first place

They never were I think going around the curves forced them Into the fascia melting it and holding the tip there

What kind of flowmasters are those? I would almost be compelled to call the company and complain until they replaced both the rear facia and tips and a minimum. I know you were driving hard through the mountains but to me that is in acceptable. Especially given the picture there they seem to be hanging at a good safe distance.

I installed Flowmaster American Thunders on my '07 GT and was compelled to also follow the instruction "Note:" (in Step 3) by loosening the forward h-pipe clamps so the mufflers fell into an untwisted (proper) hang. Otherwise, the axleback muffler tips didn't protrude through the rear fascia evenly and was too close to painted plastic on one side. Once I loosened the H-pipe, it and the mufflers moved slightly and evened up the tips, so I could tightly clamp the axlebacks in place. I've seen many Flowmasters on cars that appeared to lack that necessary adjustment step.

[NOTE: IF ONE OF MORE OF THE TIPS ARE NOT PROPERLY ALIGNED.
Due to variance in the factory H-pipe location you may need to adjust the H-pipe by loosening the two front factory clamps (at the H-pipe) and the two clamps at the muffler thus giving you the ability to achieve satisfactory fit and placement of the Flowmaster mufflers and placement of the tips in the factory cut-outs.]

Here's my flowmaster a/t classics. There is good spacing all the way around the 4in tips. You may have a hanger issue?
I did a few dyno pulls a few weeks back. These babies got so hot the paint started burning off (no cats!) and didn't effect the rear facia

These are 2013-14 specific and fit like a glove. I didn't have to loosen the h pipe are anything like that.

no it was moved because this was really just pictures of the trip. the tip melting the bumper slightly had nothing to really do with the first section. I don't honestly see why you're coming off the way you are, but i'm sure you're just having an off day ...hope it gets better for you.

@OP...Where were you running? looks like the Dragon at least i know there's a gas station just like that one just before you get on the entrance to the first portion of it. btw calling something a closed course doesn't bypass the rules lol. If it was deemed illegal anyways by the staff it would already of been deleted. Glad you had fun overall....even if it wasn't the Dragon mountain roads are a blast and really let you see what you as a driver have to offer your car, and what your car can offer you.

This was in daughry Oklahoma. If you blink you'll miss it. The road wraps around the Arbuckle mountains eventually ending at turner falls, real nice place.

Well I'm sure that was a buzz kill lol. My Pypes tips are very close to my rear bumper, hopefully I don't do too much mountain driving in the middle of Ohio!

Why do people feel the need to chastise moderators for doing their job? I don't get paid to do this, I volunteer, and it's pictures related to a non model year specific mustang, not anything remotely close to tech, that's why I moved it.

I just think there are more serious issues that you could spend your time on, rather than moving a thread that is causing no issues where it is. And I do respect you guys for what you do but I just think yall get a Lil trigger happy sometimes.

Two things. It has to be a model relevant to the section and it has to hold technical value. This does not hold technical value. Why is this so hard to understand?
