17 year old with a v8

Hi I decided to do a thread about my car and my progress with it, since I am one of the few teens who respect their car, and also do all my own work

Here it is stock

And of course the first thing you do with a mustang is get a sweet sounding exhaust.

Then I decided to get something that's not too much money but would look nice so I got blue caliper paint

And a 3rd brake light decal

Eventually I became power hungry and did some research for a good power mod. Everyone seemed to love the tuner so I it the sct tuner. Loved it noticed a difference mostly in throttle response.

I then wanted the car to handle and look better, so I decided to tackle lowering springs. I got the sr performance springs to get rid of the big wheel gap. Not too hard of an install, luckily my dad knows someone that would let me borrow his air tools.

Now out of money, I looked for cheap mods that would look cool. I found a guy on Craigslist selling smoked lenses for all lights so I picked them up for $40 and slapped them on my car. At first they were alittle loose, so I decided to melt the corners and bend them a bit to fit accordingly. I had also plasti dipped my pony on the front for the blacked out look

Got bored one day and wanted to do something to my car, so I looked at my ugly long antenna ad decided I wanted a shorty antenna. So I sawed off 18 inches and popped the ball off and glued it back on.

And my latest mod is my jlt series 3 cold air intake. It is awesome, gives the car more power and also made it a little louder and clearer with is good.

Looks good man! I recommend an offroad h pipe to go with those pype bombs. I just put one on mine with the bombs and nearly shat myself starting it. Love the calipers too! I want to do mine red. Did you remove them or just mask the rotors off?

Awesome man! Window tint and an o/r mid pipe or UDP would be next if it were my baby.

sweet, thumbs up for low buck mods. They really are the best. I also liked the blue on the calipers, it's not something I would have thought of but it looks great with your color.

They lower the car perfectly and made it stiffer for less body roll and better handling

I have lowering springs and they make a lot of noise over bumps, but the stance looks amazing so I don't care. If noise bothers you, you might not want to though.

I would do an h or x-pipe, and long tubes. Long tubes help with power gains, and they also make it sound better. They are just a pain to install.

Mine sound fine, no noise difference to stock. Maybe it depends in how many miles you have on the car. I only have 32,000

Only thing it'll sag the springs since they're older they'll sag more but once you put new springs it'll lower it and then those will settle in after a week or so. Make sure when you put lower springs on is always park on a flat level surface. Lol.

Do you have isolators? What kind of noise is it? Bumping noise. Metal on metal scraping?
