Accident damage

Hey, just got done dealing with the insurance on this one. I was at fault, even though this guy stopped short. I was going speed limit and not tailgating, just didn't expect it since the road was open and clear. Luckily no one was hurt and both cars are being fixed under my deductible. Rate won't increase either, yay!

Wish I thought about the cervini hood, rtr upper grill, and roush splitter before I said fix it stock 😞.

Oh we'll.

Should get her back next week, just an FYI all these parts are super expensive and brand new since the 13 was first body style like this. Already have 38kmi on her too. Poor car.

Is that a Prius rear bumper in the street?

If so, good kill.

I kid. Sorry about your car. Glad no one was hurt.

The other bummer about this is that it will show up in a "carfax" type report now as being involved in an accident.

Glad to hear your OK, it will be good as new shortly, but it still must hurt! Sorry bro!

It might not. My car has unfortunately had bad luck and been hit once in a side impact by some moron. That was over 6k in repairs.

It has also been hit twice being parked and backed up into as well and once more in the parking lot moving at low speeds. All these were small fender benders, that I went through insurance, because it was the other persons fault.

I went to Carmax to trade my car in about two months ago and see what i can get for it because they had a 5.0 on the lot for 21k.

The only history of damage they had was the first accident, the one with 6k in damages, although all 4 went through insurance. So it's not a 100 percent guarantee it will be on the Carmax... I saw this firsthand with my own car.

Although that one accident was enough for them to only give me 13k for my car which is ridiculous for a 2012 with 19k miles on it. So since the car isn't worth much regardless anymore I'm gonna end up modding the **** out of it.

As much as it sux, cars can be fixed or replaced, lives can't. I'm glad everyone is OK

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support! Been driving for 10 years and first at fault accident. I'll post after when it's done. I don't mind admitting fault when it's there. I know this is hitting car fax, but I'm keeping her to 300kmi then overhaul and garage queen so resale isn't a huge concern.

I'm sure I wasn't supposed to laugh at that but it was funny. I can just see it "Hey Bill, sorry this dude hit you. Don't worry we'll take care of it" at least it was your fault cause it very may have been your fault anyway.

That's what I was thinking, at least they guy was cool about it. Just said don't worry about it and filed the claim to fix his car.

Probably not after the last dateline show I watched from Friday. Carfax is being sued 50billion dollars for erasing accidents reports of used cars. They bought a car that messed up within a couple of days and decided to use another websites vehicle report (auto check and paid $40). There They found the car had been in a major accident the year before and even contacted the previous owner to confirm about the accident. The dealership manager even confessed on the show that it happens a lot and that they're currently suing car fax for erasing accident reports.

All better, I missed her sorely. The Focus Sel was ok... But not a mustang! Soo happy to have her back, been driving very defensively...
