Mustang met a deer

Hit a deer yesturday morning coming out of a curve at about 70. Seen it on opposite side of road about the time it started running. Got over as far as I could to avoid hitting it head on fearing it would come through the windshield. But wiped out the whole side. Front splitter, hood, fender, door,1/4 panel, rear fascia and the custom paint is toast needless to say. Waiting til statefarm opens tomorrow but should have it all fixed and better than before soon.

Saw this earlier today on FB. Glad you are ok and hope you get the car back up and running soon. She is one of my favorites on the site.

Yeah had the the paint done back in first of march, deciding whether to redo it to match or just redo the whole car. Maybe I'm a dick but I'm glad the deer didn't walk away from it atleast.

Thats unfortunate for both you and the deer. More so for the deer IMO.

Your car will be fixed and as good as new but the deer ...well we all know what happend to it.

Great that you had time to react and prevent a head on with this deer. My father in law hit one in Georgia early one morning on I-95.

It pushed the right front fender back so far, the passenger door could not be opened. It triggered the air bags, which forced him to loose control of the truck, and darn near rolled it. When the state trouper finished the report, he (state trouper) threw the deer into his trunk and bragged about the meal he and his family were going to have that weekend.

Glad you and the Mustang came out with no permanent injuries!

I've got no problem with a state trooper being a little light hearted when no ones hurt and you haven't committed a crime. Too many of them take themselves wayyyyyyy too seriously.

Deer are the jerks of the animal world. "Oh I'll just stand here and look at your car coming....I could stay right here and wait for you to pass...SHINY! *jumps out*:

I hate them so much Glad the car's back to normal though.

Nah. There were about 6-7 but I only managed to hit 3... Pretty good accuracy. Felt like I was in a game of real life bowling

So since most speed limits are 70 mph, on the straight part of the road and most turns are 40-50 mph, did you mean you were doing 50 mph in the curve?

Upon seeing the deer ahead, you gave it the gas up to 70 mph hoping to beat the deer out of the curve?

So, when is the barbecue?
