Camera lens suggestions.

Hey guys, I was wondering suggestions on camera lens that has worked the best for yall in car photography! I have a Canon T3i and I'm thinking about maybe buying a 50mm 1.4 lens. It seems to be cheap and have excellent results! Feel free to post sample pics!

Out of curiosity, why a 50mm 1.4 lens? (Good lens if it's a Canon.)
What did the camera come with.
I have a Canon 17-85mm 1:4-5.6 IS lens that works for me.
I think what many people are lacking in their car pictures is attention to lighting and avoidance of shadows. Setting the scene is important.

I like the portrait type how it blurs the surroundings and all. And it's really cheap for how well it does. I also have 18-55mm and the 55-250mm

I'm no photographer but I thought a portrait type was typically a small telephoto, like an 85mm or so. On one hand. On the other hand, I date back to pre-digital cameras. Whereas now, I believe most digital cameras have an effect of multiplying the focal length. So that's probably the difference.
The 50mm, at a really cheap price, sounds good to me.

my Sigma 30mm DN works great for me, but i'm on a micro 4/3rds mount. their 50mm would be your equivalent, or close to it. Sigmas are great for the money
