Indeed. They were in the box for less than 5 minutes. On the car less than an hour after they got here. Lowering will make it look so much better.

It's because the rims are black....you know, that "I just got my welfare check in and need a new set of rims so what does walmart have on special" look. Yeah, I'm not a fan of black rims as they do nothing to set the car off in my book.

But...that's why it's not my car. As long as Jimbo likes them...then they were the perfect choice.

Re: New rims...

I kinda agree with venom on not feeling the rims. However its not becuase they are "walmart" specials. Its becuase your car is blue with black rims. If your car was black it would look so much better! I would have gone with the chrome fr500's but again as long as your happy. Thats what counts.

I'm working roughly towards:

They will end up really setting the car off
Keep in mind, I'm still in the early portions of switching themes. The car was set up for bright accents, now those need to be darker.

yes, the washing may occur this weekend. 1234 (Josh) and I have tentatively set a lowering install date for around 2.5 weeks from now. I have the Bilsteins in my livingroom. The Prokit springs should arrive by Friday. The MM C/C plates are already here.

in person, these make the fender gap look a lot bigger, but I tell you what... people can NOT stop looking at them. Once I get some more dark accents, they will certainly find a home

yes DD. It always bothered me how the rear 17x9's were tucked under the fender. These definitely do not

Re: New rims...

You have way too much tire sidewall for my tastes.

For some reason they just don't look right. I never liked black rims though.

the tires are rather bulgy. 275's on my Cobras fit fine, but these are a bit larger. Oh well... only 150 treadwear so I'll be able to get new ones soon.

If you're gonna do black...

Black out the tailights, black out the windows, and slam it.

...Or just go with Chrome...

The plan is to do tinted tails and reflectors, smoked clear corners... There's only so much tint I can do because of Iowa law (70%). Prokit is coming Oct. 19th.

...35% is the limit here. My windows measure somewhere around 10-11%...

I like the tinted tail look on SB, just wanted my car to look more stock than it was. I still get asked if they are factory wheels at damn near every show I go.

Re: New rims...

dont over tint your windows its a straight up hassle.... you will eventually get a ticket and have to redo it.

If I had sonic blue I would not black it all out... but thats just me. I might not go chrome but not black~

I hate when you can see the tops of tires..

Please lower it man. Black and blue is a great combo, all you need to do is get those springs on and get some black on your car.
