Rolling shots........

Me (duh)

my drivers fog light burnt out, so i had to turn them off in order for it to not look ghetto.

buddies GST:

Mods: 14b in lieu of stock T25 (died), very clean car and he plans on keeping it that way. Hella reliable, its his DD, no leaks, decent mileage, etc.

buddies TSi AWD:

Evo16g+support+meth injection. From a 3rd gear roll had me by 3 cars instantly, but took me to the end of 4th to reel him in and put him away. went from a 30mph roll and were dead even till he shifted and i got to stay in 2nd longer, put him away after that. Ran a 13.4@103 without meth and at 18psi+9.5:1 afr and 12* timing, dsmlink estimated him at 270awhp. Now with meth, 23psi+11.3:1 afr and 19* timing, dsmlink estimates him at 350awhp. Easy mid 12's now that hell be launching with studderbox and no-lift-to-shift and the added power. We go Saturday to the track, im anxious to see how it fares.

Says next up is cams and a BW S258 turbo, ill be ****ed with that turbo.

Re: Rolling shots........

Nice. Oh and that means you need the 2.5in pulley with supporting mods to be able to stay in front of him. Or a Whipple.

lol 2.5" pulley? that poor eaton would just be blowing fire at that point. IAT2's would be so high timing would have to be hella low, and youd prolly lose top end over a 2.76", might gain low end though, which wouldnt help during a drag race where you are always above at least 4500, but thats about it.

my mods + 75shot would probably be enough, or a 2.2KB. I think if i ever did anything for that price, id just go turbo. I can get twin 57trims for cost, and then just get some used tubular headers and modify them, install a flange and wastegate flange, and go from there.

Sounds like plan. Turbos are always a good idea. Plus getting the turbos as cost helps alot.

lol im always selling it. i usually get depressed after i make the monthly payment, and a week or so later feel better about it, and every month it starts over. Payments suck, they always sound good at the time, but a year or more afterwards youre like "man wtf was i thinking?" when you look in your payment book and its barely dented and you are getting bent over till 2012.

I had a buyer at $19k, until i pulled my plugs and did a compression check, and found my drivers bank was 130-155-165-175, passenger bank 180 across. all on a very warm motor. Leakdown test was somewhat inconclusive, i couldnt figure out how to get the % loss gauge to work properly (it reads 0% loss no matter what, which is impossible with a perfect motor, some will always slip past the rings), so i just went by the oldschool method and just pressurized the cylinder, and i am hearing a nice hiss from the exhaust (yes im at TDC), so seems i could have burnt exhaust valve (or both) on the drivers bank. It does have 70k on the motor, pullied since day one more than likely, with 3 different owners and driving habits.

I offered him $18k cause he is a smog tech and can probably do a motor pull and head rebuild easier than me, and that extra $1k would easily cover parts and rebuild of the head. Well see what he says tomorrow, he emailed me and said he is still interested but if the price was right. If im gonna go under $18, i might as well do it myself, and do a bunch of other **** while its out (clutch, cooling mods, paint, etc). I had the $1500 in the bank from the GSX sale i was gonna use to pay down the cobra to refi or sell, or have a badass christmas (my old Zenith TV just **** bricks, im using the 19" tv from my attic now), but dunno whats gonna happen now. Think ill put another $1000 into that fund and do some **** the cobra, baby it till springtime or something and go nuts.
