NJ is obdii. And with my microtuner my rear o2's are turned off.

I still need to pass visual, so I'm going to get some heat sheilds welded onto the pipes...I have until next August.

Other than that I should pass inspection just about anywhere..if ANYTHING I'll fail for sound.

as for anyone wanting the exhaust...dont forget I have a cam.

It changs the exhaust note completely. Even when I just had a catback and stock headers w/ cats, once I put the cam in it sounded totally different.

I also fixed my car the other day...#6 injector wasn't plugged in all the way so it wasnt pulsing fuel.. it is now. Car sounds less raspy, MUCH smoother. Car pulls like a MOFO and I'm going to the track tomorrow praying for mid 14s.

yea gutted cats or just no cats are the same thing.

Take a piece of pipe, and a big sledge hammer, and pound it through your cat...you now have a gutted cat

I'm off to the track, looking for ~14.5 or better!!! wich me luck!

no, a longtube header helps with scavenging...no cats just offers less restriction..not related at all.

you'll loose some lowend but gain topend... headers do the same thing...its all about flowing more and youll see a bigger gain in higher rpms.

Your exhaust sounds freakin awesome!!!One of the best V6 mustangs I have heard! I think I am going to ditch my current exhaust set up and go with MAC longtubes, offroad H, and an SLP catback for a GT. Does anyone know if this will work? Man, hearing your car makes me want to mod my car even more!

correct #6 wasnt firing in that vid..I fixed it a few days later.

As for tips...just take your time and do it with 1-2 other people MAX. Make sure they atleast know their way around an engine...if they're first timers liek yourself...your in for trouble.

And ask online for install help...the haynes/chilton manuals are good for 90% of things, but they take the long way about getting to some stuff. Like takign off the oil pan to get the front cover off. DONT BOTHER.

If you need help just IM me or somethin

yea, i am going to have 2 guys i know or sure, one is a master tech at ford and the other is a ford tech also. They have build a ton of 5.0s in their days and know quite a bit, I dont look to have any problems with those guys helping me, they both know what they are doing and then some... I am just worried about the little v6 issues here and there, and getting trash in the motor and messing up my rod bearings and what not... i am very very particular if my car smokes or something is messed up i will go insane its why i am replacing my lifters and rockers and everything i cna get my hands on especially the timming chain so its all done right... no half rights lol, if you are local you can come down

If you take your time you won't have any problems.. Make sure to run a quar tof oil through your motor and let it drain to wash anything out. Then fill it up and drive for a couple hundred miles and flush it again. Its the best way to ensure you dont get anything in there. If I tear into mine again I'm going to replace the lifters as well..75k hard miles is probably wearing them down.

I'd help but NJ aint local

I gotta a question about your X pipe. Where did you get the Magnaflow crossover? They only had the X pipes for GT's. What is the closest X pipe to what your runnin?

look on ebay for the X. It's just the actual X part, you need custom tubing to and from it.
