hope this helps
thats the site i used to help me build my fiberglass monstrosity, whos buildup can be seen here http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/509528/6
. that took me about 3 weeks from start to finish. i made a back mold, fiberglassed it with about 2 layers of the thick chop matte. pulled that out after it dried, made sub rings that would fit the subs in, suspended them by dowels, wrapped sheet around the whole project. glassed the sheet with just the resin mix(no matte) then let the sheet face dry. then put about 4 more layers of glass on the front part. then i went bondo crazy, spend 3 days sanding, put high build primer, then sanded more, then primer, then painted it black. didnt like the black, stripped it, painted it grey like the interior. that grey cracked due to the heat of the car in the day, so i then put grey vinyl over it to match the car. looks great, i messed up in a few spots.
overall it was a learning experience, i made some mistakes. while i like what i have now, i think i could do better knowing how to do it now. i might make another back seat enclosure come spring.
