amp to power speakers?

ok i have a 500w mono amp right now. can i use it to power some component speakers for the front AND rear?

Buy you a 4 channel amp, around 500 watts, and call it done. I have a 2 channel 250 watt amp on my fronts, and still on stocks in the back, so nothing done there so far.
