So I get pulled over today for decals...

I was driving off campus and a cop is sitting at a stop sign. I stop then go and a few seconds later he is pulling me over...Im like wtf...so I pull over and he tells me I have to take the MUSTANG logo off my front windshield and the pony off the rear....this is total bs. Anybody have legal limits for decals in the state of Pennsylvania?

It was a state cop unfortunatly, he told me to take them off or $150 fine...and yeah it doesnt come down even close to where the stock tint stops

according to this thread here Your State's Legal Window Tint you are in violation as it says PA says no to anything on the front wind shield. Now, I think he is just being a prick as your mustang does not come below the blue tint on your wind shield. As for the back, I think he is just being a dick there.

check local laws, here we have 6 inches on the front window to do what we want with, he was probably just jelous and wanted to make you remove something or some crap who knows. just check your local laws.

anything that can block your view is illegal, (thats for the back..) but as far as the front, he prob just tacked that onthere so it will be one charge.. MUSTANG would be fine, but the pony in indiana would get you pulled over

I couldn't get an inspection sticker here in MS back when I had windshield banners unless I went to a shop I knew would give me one. They've never said anything about my tint being illegal or my rear running pony, but who knows, sounds like he was just wanting to be a prick.

We have to follow the ASC1 guidelines, eventhough I'm nowhere near it.

PA has some weird laws. 95% of the cops dont care.. but you'll find a few that are jerks.

thats cause like me you live in AL, where there really arent many laws regualating vehicles...cept when they want to be pricks to the guys like me in lifted trucks, or like some of my buddies in lowered trucks....damn bumper law all of a sudden matters.

they wouldnt like my bronco too much in PA then..

this is below eye level for me too

for example.. tint is pretty much illegal in PA. it used to be 35% but they changed it. however, i have never had any problem with it but i know people who have. some townships are hard on tint laws and others dont care even if its 1%. same things with decals.. there are so many people with decals but only an unfortunately and unlucky few get busted for it. you really shouldnt worry because very few cops actually do care. compared to places like new jersey.. PA people can get away with murder when it comes to speeding, underage drinking, etc haha. oh.. another law is PA cars arent allowed to have any type of extra lightning on them. that means no strobes, no underbody neons, no interior neons, nothing...fog lights are allowed though. hmm.. we have to have our headlights on while driving through construction areas.

honestly though.. you have nothing to worry about PA. PA is a pretty slack place compared to other places. there is one cop for every 300 miles on the highways haha.. but that one guy is a dick. and in your small hometown you'll probably know most of the cops personally (or graduated with them like in my case) so they wont bust you for anything. its those rich stuck up neighborhoods you gotta watch out for.

yes.. during day.. talk about the dumbest law ever made. its suppose to alert the construction workers that there are cars coming.. but if you are working on the highway you should KNOW there are cars coming.. PLUS i NEVER see them working anyways. the same places are under construction since i was a little kid. you might get some problems with the 5% tint.. depends on your area though. i wouldnt worry too much about it. its a 5.0.. the tint laws mostly apply to the "shady drug dealing" type cars. mostly the import scene.

AS1 is the line that you are legally allowed to apply tint to on the front windshirld I believe.

BLUEMUSTANG, watch out man. If you have 5% tint then don't go throught this town called Nanticoke because I was passing through and got pulled when I had my 15% on and they made me take it off and come back to the police station within 10 days. Only the town is bankrupt so there is noone ever there and I couldn't get in touch with anyone. they tried to fine me and I got off becuase I couldn't get ahold of anyone heh.

PA is really laid back about things most of te time, as long as your not being that jackass that everyone goes "Jackass" when they see him on the road.
