The real thing is urethane and much more forgiving when you bump or scrap anything, the cheaper fiberglass will crack and generally sucks. Fitting of fibergalls is also a PITA. All and all fiberglass looks good but wears bad and is much more easily damaged.

Spend more get urethane and save on repairs

Remember the biggest enemy of low front body parts is high curbs and road debris. A piece of large Semi-truck tire can destroy a fiberglass one to the point of non-recognition instantly where a urethane one will bend and maybe tear a bit but all very fixable !!!!

One note on the urethane one. I bought it for my 2000 GT before I sold it. Make sure that whomever you take it to for paint doesn't trying and just patch individual air pockets. The place I took it too took 4 weeks to paint it and only finished it because I sat at his shop until he painted it. he kept trying to fill each little pocket. It needed a nice skin coat in order to look good. I wish he would have just done that.

Anyhow, when you get it painted, make sure you don't go cheap on the shop quality. Yours will have some pockets as well, how many probably varies by each one. But, I would definitely go the urethane route.

I went over a deer that was dead in the road (had no choice but to straddle it as one side was a semi, the other was a muddy shoulder and it was in the middle of my lane. It survived nicely. No tears, nothing. And, this was a NY dear, not the little puppy dogs they have here in louisiana. lol. Heard it hit everything the full length of my undercarriage at 75 mph. Was quite intereting.

Those NY Deer eat apples and other stuff and get huge. LA deer are not as lucky since the marshes and swamps provide little nutritional needs for large deer. I Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia thru the black bet of rich soil and big farm land the der get huge. Not no puppy dog deer!!!!

kansas deer will even make that urethane look bad if you hit them dead. A guy i know hit a deer in his avalanche truck and it destroyed the front on impact then the body swung around and destroyed the drivers side doors. big deer

Hitting live dead is deadly. I had a friend decapitated by a deer going thru his windshield of his Buick electra 225 land barge . I think Smurfin was refering to dead deer laying in the road !!!!

this is so offtopic, but a guy in north Alabama was killed a year or two ago when a deer ran out of the woods and into his car... Kinda backwards. One of the antlers came right through the door window and through the neck.
