Mine still has some space but, uh, I don't many mess anything up so it might as well have no trunk.

Re: show me custom enclosures

I am liking that setup as well, but I need to figure out how to make it work. I plan to have 2 subs and will end up with probably 3 amps when my system is complete. The problem lies in that my battery will be in the trunk by next spring so I can install the Intercooler Resevoir I have sitting in my closet right now. The battery throws a little wrinkle into the plans for me. I want it to look balanced, but the battery will make it look unbalanced.

I am going to have 2 subs, 2 amps.

One amp for my front speakers and one amp for the 2 subs.

I may end up that way as well depending on the amp I run for the subs. I will get the digital 4 channel 750sx or something like that from Kicker that I had last year to run the components and mids. If I get the 1200sx digital like I want, I will only need the one amp. If I go with the regular 600 watt amp like I had before I Sold them last year, I will get one for each sub. It all depends on what I decide to run. All I know is it will be kicker and will be painted to match the car and I will have no trunk.

Re: show me custom enclosures

Well I dont plan on adding any speakers in my rear deck as of now. That may change... I will be replacing my Planet Audio front speakers with components when I redo it. Should be plenty of highs and mids in the front with the bass in the back.

I plan on going with 2 Kicker 10" CompVR subs in a slotted ported box being pushed by a Kicker 600.1

Re: show me custom enclosures

Hey rob, if ya want I can talk to my fiberglass guy and an engineer and come up with something that blends well with the trunk on a conv and is also easily removable. Shouldn't be all that hard. Especially if you relocate your battery to the trunk. We can even incorperate that into the design of the trunk, have it in 3 removable pieces and one permanant piece for the battery. Each speaker have a seperate removable box and the amp rack be removable as well, but when it's all put it it flows well with the rest of the car.

Well, when I am ready to do this I will definitely ping you about it...along with painting my hood. It would be nice to get some complete fiberglass enclosure that builds the battery into the design.

Since I don't go to the track, I don't think I Will really care to much for whether it is removable or not. Hell, all that extra weight back there might actually help my no-driving-*** launch better. lol

Re: show me custom enclosures

Well actually there was a guy on here that made them, but since his only post was to sell that product, admin wanted him to pay sponser fees (which he should have done) and I guess he didn't like that if you want I can give you his email or phone number the quality of work he did was awesome, I was blown away at the quality. only like 65 I think?? but don't quote me on that.

and for the record I do agree that he should have paid the sponser fees, he was going for free advertising without being a posting member.

Haha, yeh, we still need to paint that hood lol. And if you don't care about it being removable, I can make it a permanant one piece with a spot for the battery that is easily accessible as well as look good. We'll have to talk on this and figure out something.

I can do a fiberglass box relatively easily for a single 15 with amp rack in the trunk. I might work on a dimensionally correct wood box design for mustang trunks as well, never a bad thing to have.
