aux in the sterio

Hey, I just bought a 04 gt with the mach sound system. I notice it has a aux button but I dont see anywhere to plug one in. Is there somewhere on the back of the unit or is that just a standard button that is on all of them.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the aux Jack is on the back of the head unit.

I could be mistaken but I think it's just a dead button. I don't think it was until '05 or '06 that they actually had the Aux. I think you can get a OEM add on for the button however.

But I'm not to certain on that information. Pull out the radio and check, the radio isn't that hard to remove.

Re: aux in the sterio

Like Osiris said, it's a dead button but there is a way to get an MP3 player to work on the Mach. You can buy a P.I.E (Precision Interface Electronic) adapter PIE Search By Car. I think it runs 70 to 80 dollars but I'm not really sure. This will use your 20 pin connection in the back of head unit disabling the CD change. Also thanks to the interiors on the mustang, there is a large hole on the side below the glove compartment through which the adapter can slide out so you can switch devices.
