Exclamation New here! Radio help

Well id like to start by saying hello to everyone, im apart of BMCforums and mustangboards as well, but i have a question about my radio. I have a 2000 V6 with the 2 DIN radio setup. I just bought a JVC KD-S26 radio for it. I dont know much about radios but me and my friend(whos an auto genus) are installing it tommorow. I have the radio, scosche wiring connectors, removal tools,a raptor stereo hardware kit and the plastic thing for the radio to fit. Is this everything? I dont know if my mustang has the Mach 460 or regular stereo so can someone please help me? Do i need anything else, and are there any precautions i should take?
Thank you

Re: New here! Radio help

If you have the mach you'll have the speakers next to your mirrors on your door. I'm guessing you don't since it says it right on the speaker. You need a wiring harness to go from the factory wire to the stereo. You need electrical tape. Maybe wire strippers if theyarent already cut. Installation kit (plastic that actually holds it in and covers the gap. Unless your gonna wire up an amp for subs your good to go.

Re: New here! Radio help

If you think you may ever get subs plug in some rca cables and a remote line (a single speaker wire that goes from the red wire to your trunk. Run those to the back and all you'll have to do to have subs is run the power wire and just get an amp and subwoofers
