94-98 Heat Extractor Hood

I was thinking of getting a 94-98 Heat Extractor hood from Cervini.
I was wondering if anybody had photos of one on thier Mustang.
I know there is a picture of it on the Cervini website, but it looks
like it has been worked over in photoshop. Just looking for a real
world photo of one.

Thanks

cervinis is one of the best for quality/fitment. Which one are you looking at? the 03/04 cobra style or their other one?

I like the Tiger Racing version, but i don't know if it is streetable without hood pins though. They make a 94 to 98 version too.

Almost all aftermarket hood require hood pins. SO most likely if it's not from Saleen, Roush, or Ford, you'll need hood pins. I also believe some of Cervini's hood don't require pins either, but that's a risk you'll have to take. You can always call them and ask too.

Its better to be safe than sorry with the pins... you can get the ones that lock with a key though, that way you dont have to have the stupid pins hanging out of the hood with that wire on there.

those wires will tear your paint up if they're not coated or if the coating comes off.

Yea not a fan of hood pins myself. If I ever got a new hood it would be a Saleen anyway.

Re: 94-98 Heat Extractor Hood

Yeah, I considered putting hood pins on my car for a long time but never did it. I don't like the way they look, but with an aftermarket fiberglass hood, they are definitely a good idea. You'd be amazed at how much damage can be caused by a hood flying up on you while driving down the highway. Fiberglass hoods are definitely prone to doing this as well...

I probably should put some on mine just to be safe.

I've seen FACTORY hoods flapping on the interstate.

Yup. Now just imagine even more lightweight aftermarket hoods which many times aren't installed correctly (with the safety latches adjusted properly).

I would get the Cobra style extractor. And might eventually if I can decide it will flow with the lines I already have going.

Re: 94-98 Heat Extractor Hood

Any DECENT aftermarket hood does NOT require pins.. My Cervinis latches better and is stronger than my factory hood.. My abc hood was the same way..
