6X9 spacers on rear package shelf

I was looking at some spacers that allow 6X9's to be mounted on the rear shelf. Has anyone done this. The reason is I use the hell out of my trunk and dont want to mount a sub. 6X9's offer very good bass with amp.

So let me here from you!!!

Re: 6X9 spacers on rear package shelf

Nothing to them. My old car came with 4x10's in the deck and I put 6x9 spacers on it, worked like a charm. You'll need to take off your rear package shelf cover, then take off your old speakers. Bolt on the spacers, bolt speakers in, hook them up and put it all back together.

Re: 6X9 spacers on rear package shelf

sounds like a good enough recomendation to me. Do you think it would be cheaper to buy them from a car audio place locally or on ebay?

Re: 6X9 spacers on rear package shelf

Eh...I dunno. It'd probably run about the same either way after tacking the shipping on from ebay. Just a matter of whether or not your local audio shop has them in stock and such.

Re: 6X9 spacers on rear package shelf

the older v6's dont really have anything back there but the speakers.... so you wont have to worry. If you dont have the mach system that is...
