Got the car buffed!

Well not a full clear coat "cut" as they call it but buffed with 3000 grit to smooth and clean the clear coat. Looks great. I hope to have pics up soon... my camera sucks in low light which is what my garage is. I highly recommend this, my friend is really good with a buffer and he knocked it out in 2 hours. Much less orange peal but still some just due to didnt cut down the clear coat really. I finished it up with some Ace It sealer for the show to bring out the shine with the lights they will have at the BJCC for the world of wheels. Hope it all looks good under the light they have (some odd type of light)

Re: Got the car buffed!

hmm...I don't think I'll do any buffing, but a clay bar seems like a good idea when spring rolls nears.

Re: Got the car buffed!

Nice! I need to do a complete detail on mine just waiting till the weather warms up a little. The engine compartment looks terrible.

Yah keep that engine bay looking good. I've seen so many cars that look crystal clean on the exterior, then the owner opens up the hood and the engine bay is just dirty as hell. Their response is that it's too much to maintain and that the engine bay gets dirty too easily. \

I always tend to shy away from cars for sale when you can tell their engine bays haven't been well maintained.

I agree.. I've seen people try to sell cars that haven't been detailed, or even washed. I'm just waiting for the nice weather to roll in hopefully soon. I'll have everything looking good in a few weeks. When I detail I do the whole 9 yards. I'll spend 12 hours doing it.
