Remove Hood Blanket?

Hey, I have been searching on the internet and been finding alot of pros and cons to removing the hood blanket. I really want to remove it because I could care less about it. I found online about it insulating the noise and possible paint problems. Has anyone had paint problems? Also anyone know any good styling to take place of the hood blanket? Thanks

Re: Remove Hood Blanket?

It's been 6 years since I removed mine and I live in Louisiana. No issues.

Under it is probably not painted tho, so if you show your car keep that in mind. The only thing you'll notice is a slight loss of AM radio reception.

First thing I've done on my cars. It normally gets dirty and looks like crap in no time.

No paint issues here either in MS with a heaton.

Removed it on a '08 with supercharger and no paint problems.

Re: Remove Hood Blanket?

it is there for a really good reason (suppress fire) but it can be removed without issue. Ive not had one on mind in nearly 4 years.
