Re: windshield help

Look in the phone book for your local autoglass supplier/installer! If you want to pay as little as possible tell them you want an aftermarker w/s and you can prob. get away for about under $150 bucks! I would recommend that you let them install it though! It's a lot more critical than people think and if not done correctly, the glass could fly out! I've seen it done! I used to be a State of Connecticut licensed autoglass installer! If I'm not mistaken, all of the bodystyles for that year are the same except the convertible! Oem glass from Ford is manufactured under (Carlite) and will run you much more but the glass company should stock should you decide that's what you want!

Re: windshield help

The oem style windshield has a running pony in the top of it, this windshield will run you an average of 200 dollars more b/c of that pony. I'd recommend doing like snake99bite says and get a regular windshield unless you just have to have the running pony. You'll save money and might even get a windshield with the top chemically tinted (which I miss from my old car). And yes, get it done right from a reputable shop, I also used to install auto glass, and a bad install will only lead to bad things in the future.

Re: windshield help

Glad someone posted this. Just ordered my glass from Safelite, which I've used once before. $200.00 less without the pony...
