Can the Stang handle it?

Hey guys, i just figured out that my subwoofer box is broken (yay)
I've decided that instead of buying another single 10in box i am going to buy a double.

Now here is the question. Will my wonderfully stock electrical system be able to handle two subs both running at 300watts rms? (both subs will be the same brand and have its own amp. yes, the amps will be identical as well)

Re: Can the Stang handle it?

i have two 12's in my 04 V6 stang both running on one 1000W amp. i've never had any problems. the system has been in my car for probably 4 years now. never had to replace my alternator or anything like that. if i crank it up real loud my headlights will dim a bit when the bass hits, but its never messed up anything for me. aside from my passenger side window which wants to rattle when going up from the vibrations. lol

just make sure you get it done correctly. don't wanna catch anything on fire...

Lord yes, I'm pushing over 1500 watts to one sub, so 600 watts rms should be fine.

If you do start having problems, though, upgrade the big three (you can google it, it's easier than me explaining, lol) or alternator. You could also add a second battery, but with just 600 watts rms, you shouldn't have to worry too much about it.

At that power level you should have no issues. Do make sure you run quality wiring as that will be the downfall of any system.

Agreed. Stinger is always a great choice of wiring.
