Wanting ideas and suggestions

Aight, I want to know parts for mustangs that aren't currently made but think would be pretty cool. These will be made with real carbon fiber. If there is enough demand, I will produce whatever your minds can come up with lol.

I'm steering away from performance oriented parts at the moment b/c I can't afford the insurance, so this will be strictly cosmetic.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

Cmon now, I know someone has ideas. The ones I've come up with so far are interior pieces. I'm going to carry the complete pieces, not stick on pieces that just cover the factory pieces. Also, the idea of making rear bumper inserts out of real carbon fiber, not a cheap imitation. I have a few more ideas, but I'll throw up pictures of those when the preliminary parts get made...

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

I would like to see Carbon Fiber OEM style wings, for both my gen and yours. I would look into getting Carbon Fiber Inserts if they are High Gloss and not just stickers. they ahve to have some meat to them you know?

Another good idea that I have NEVER seen anywhere for sale are smoked taillights for 94-98's.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

The spoilers are on the drawing board...gotta get ahold of some stock ones to work with to begin with. This is gonna be a low production/low product line for a little while while we get everything worked out in the manufacturing process. I get to be the guinea pig and run the crap out of everything to make sure it holds up lol.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

Well you need a guinea pig for 94-98 I am your man. I still have my CF hood in my attic, so I probrobly could pull the look off with a spoiler, and maybe side scoops. Then again I am digging the one color look.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

I have one local I'll bet I could get some parts off of...that would work out alot better for me. Gotta pull a mold then work from there. But first things first, should have a prototype product soon, as long as that works out well, I'll be rolling. Just gotta take care of the legal aspects and cough up some money lol.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

How about Carbon Fiber Side Scoop Covers. Kind of like the ones that I think Cervini's make.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

If you could make full panels that are paintable you should have a hot ticket item no doubt, tons of people would probably line up to buy CF fenders and doors etc etc.

Yup. That's where the real money will be: carbon fiber body panels that are meant to be painted. There is a guy with a 94-98 model Cobra (don't remember the exact year) over on The Corral that has been working on panels for his car for a while now. The weight savings are definitely substantial. It would sell faster than light, fluffy, and possibly over-buttered pancakes.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

Those will take more time and effort than I'm willing to put into anything right now. I just want to get my foot in the door at the moment, full body panels will have to be a later thing...well that and it's gonna look funny to drive around with a quarter panel for a day or two while we pull a mold lol.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

I think side scoop covers dont look too bad. But when you just replace or paint the scoops like I once did then it looks dumb.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

side scoop INSERTS not the whole scoop and the front cowl by the wiper blades, as it is usually neglected by people and fades, would be a nice upgrade.

The front cowl is an item we have been looking at actually, it's something different noone else makes at all.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

Here is my contribution...a stock looking 03/04 cobra hood with a higher cowl lift so that someone could fit say a 3.3L whipple...or even a regular 2.3L whipple with intake spacer and strut tower brace without having to get a cobra R style hood with a 4" cowl.

So, an 03/04 cobra hood with say a 2" higher cowl.

CF trunk lids. This should be a fairly easy thing to engineer and you can market hoods and lids in packages and that sort of thing.

Re: Wanting ideas and suggestions

I would pay for a bigger chin spoiler that fit the lines of the '94-'98 Mustang. Bigger than the Mach 1 chin spoiler but smaller than the Boss Shinoda one in CF.

I have to make at least a 10 percent difference from ford's design to avoid being sued. So they are similar, but not the same.
