Which Shift Handle

I like the stock shift knob, but I think I am going to move up to a different one when I order my MGW.

So, which shift knob should I go with?

A:

B:

C:

or

D:

Here is a side view of A and B

if you want to change the stock go with A. it's cleaner, more aggressive looking.

Re: Which Shift Handle

i like the feel of a knob as opposed to anything that has any sort of "Contoured" feel. i just got a billet 6spd knob from mustangtuning (now americanmuscle). i hated the shift knob the guy before me had, and instantly replaced it with the stocker and didnt like that one either, put my hand at an akward position.

I vote C or D, emphasis on D just in case you get senile and forget how many and where the gears are at, cause i doubt youd forget its a cobra once you hit the throttle..........

Re: Which Shift Handle

^^ I have been leaning towards the stock-like shift pattern myself to avoid the concept of over-badging the car...but I don't know if I want to go with a knob or if I want something contoured like the stocker is. A and B are shaped like the stocker...

Re: Which Shift Handle

remember, you wont be holding the handle from the side since you have a short handle. You will be shifting while holding it somewhat from the top, not from behind.

I will have the handle (assuming stock or A/B) facing so that my palm is flat on the back and my fingers are over the lip....just like I have it installed now. My hand won't be coming from the side at all. With my steeda, my hand would also sit flush with the back and not rest on the side or the top.

You said it is over sized above...does it feel over sized to you compared to stock or is it just a visual thing?

oversized compared to stock as well, I think the stock knob is a bit large. I liked the bullitt knob it was just about right for me

But, oversized visually or feel as well?

And, you said you have the 6 speed pattern...which style B or D?

Re: Which Shift Handle

only oversized by feel, visually it works fine. The color isnt 100% the same as our medium charcoal interiors but its rather close~

I have the 6 speed pattern design, I also thought about the cobra emblem but I didnt want to have cobra stuff everywhere.
