You should listen to me and put some Saleen side scoops on it.

Also, gears are a must if you don't already have them. Best bang for the buck you'll ever see probably.

Re: Body wise

just a side note, running 4.10's will make your rpms run at around 300 higher than normal on the highway. i know from experience. it defintly made a huge difference to my 6er, so i cant imagine how much of a diff it would be on a GT.

Re: Body wise

the rear gears are the final drive ratio. the ratio means it will spin however many times versus one rotation of the driveshaft.

so on 4.1's the rear tire axle spins 4.1 times per every revolution of the driveshaft. this in turn increases the multiplication factor of the enitre drivetrain, and basically makes it easier for the motor to push the car forward. i think its called "Torque Multiplication" or some**** like that. im pretty messed up right now, but i think the paragraph above is pretty right.

if anything, higher gears will increase city driving mileage, because it is more efficient for the engine. now on highway, because of the tall gears, the rpm will be higher than usual because of the ratio, and thus freeway mileage might take a small hit. while the rpm is higher, the engine has to work less (ie throttle input) to maintain that speed, which could actually even itself out in the end.

since you are automatic, you will also want some sort of tranny cooler and a shift kit to make full use of the gears. your tranny will be spinning faster which makes more heat, and heat is the killer of all transmissions.

99-04 need to calibrate the speedo via the ECU, so you will need a SCT or Diablo tuner to calibrate the speedo.
