new cobra r front bumper need some advice!

Got a polyurethane front bumper on there using the old gt bracket clips and they worked fine and i got the fenderwheels tucked in and bolted up nicely as well but my entire bumper is still a bit flimsy and has a little bit of play in it.. it needs a facelift so to speak just something custom that'll help brace it a bit.. anyone had this trouble or any ideas/tips would be appreciated. thanks!

You could fill it with foam. Just a thought

umm would that foam piece be the one that should be connected to the front crossbrace support thingie?

i accidentaly went to use my foam piece to help me get up and when i put all my weight on it thinking it was the metal crossmember it snapped in half. now my bumper too sags, and it doesnt help that only one of the two top clips are attached (one of the supports broke off the headlight header piece). my front is kinda flimzy, but its good that it has some upward movement that way when it bottoms out coming out of parking lots (****ing california, biggest spender in roadway making cant even get parking lot exits level) it has some give to it.

Hah, yeah that would be the foam peice im seeing... I guess having some play in it would be to my advantage but it is my daily driver and when on the interstate at high speeds (especially on the cobra R lip that sticks out a good 2-3 inches) im sure the wind just pushes down on it hard... And the stress of it just starts cracking the paint, ive had it repainted Twice now! I have braced better now than ever but i still dont think it'll cut it.

that was just 2 weeks after i had it painted for the first time, already a paint chip exposing the black urethane bumper =( im about to just rig up something ghetto like get some metal brackets, bolt it down to one of the bars that run along the radiator and apoxy it or some kind of high strength glue perhaps JB weld to other end down inside the lip at least that way the wind wont have it's way with it... =X

urathane (its either urathane or fiberglass most definatly) flexes and moves, you should be able to move it by hand on the sides, but not be able to push in on the front of the bumper if you have the foam behind it. It gives more so its more durable and wont crack as easy.
