opinions please

The GT I recently bought has and aftermarket fiberglass saleen front bumper. The previous owner bumped a curb and a part of the bumper cracked in the usual fiberglass fashion. My question to you is should I have the bumper fixed and risk bumping a curb myself and having the same result (cost = paint and labor) or should I just buy a stock bumper and have it painted (cost = bumper, paint, and labor)?

IMO I'd go back to stock or if you can drive very, very careful avoiding all bumps ,curbs and high spots in the road get the saleen fixed

Re: opinions please

x2. in this case it's better to go back to stock until you can get something better. otherwise you might be sinking in a lot of money to get it fixed everytime you breathe on it wrong.

Re: opinions please

Get a new good quality bumper. There are many choices but I tend to like the 99-01 cobra front bumper on GT's.

Re: opinions please

yeah Id get rid of that, you dont understand how many fiberglass bumpers Ive fixed, their not fun and I end up charging them alot cause its that much of a pain in the ***. Get a cobra bumper it'll look TONS better or just see if you can get a urethane Saleen bumper used on one of the many stang boards out there
