Re: Rattle

I would use all 4 bolts to hold the plate on to see if it fixes it first, if this does not then you will need to put something behind it, maybe a piece of dynomat.

Re: Rattle

An easy trick to fix a license plate rattle is to use 4 screws on it first off and take the cardboard center from a used toilet paper roll, flatten it and put it behind the plate. This will eliminate any license plate rattle you may have.

Re: Rattle

Really, its not that expensive and I will bet my car that it looks better than duct tape.

Tweeter - Dynamat 19100 License Plate Kit

Quote:
You can stop license plate rattle with the Dynamat Xtreme License Plate Kit. The kit includes a sheet of Dynamat Xtreme for the back of the license plate. Your installation is complete when you mount the Dynamat "I've Got Better Sound" License Plate Frame, with the four included neoprene strips.
Just $15.

Re: Rattle

you can also use 3M double sided tape on the side edges for extra adhesion and dampening in conjunction with the 4 bolts. you can also put a few strips in the middle just in case. alot cheaper than dynosuck (which is just a logo'd version of an industrial material called "Insulwrap" that is ****loads cheaper)
