Another bumper question...

This is similiar to the one before it but the choice is between the Cobra "R "bumper or the cobra bumper. I like both and have the "R" bumper in my rendering for my overall plan but after seeing one recently I dont know about how the Cobra "R" bumper looks on the sides. I know a lot of you are probably going to say Cobra "R" bumper on Cobra "R" mustangs but just asking. What do you think?

Re: Another bumper question...

I would stick with the cobra bumper over the cobra R for two reasons (1) I think the Cobra R bumper just looks better, I am not big on that "plastic body kit" look of the R bumper and (2) you will be repainting the cobra R bumper all the time because of how low it hangs. I have a buddy with a cobra R bumper on his new edge sn95 and he has had to have it repainted 3 times that I know of because he keeps scraping it on curbs, steap driveways, etc. That will become a royal headache for you...especially if your car is lowered or will be lowered any time soon...

Re: Another bumper question...

I say go for what you drew cause honestly it doesnt take much effort to figure out how to drive once you have that on. you can always angle into driveways and such but I can see how it can be a pita after awhile

thats tough choice there

Re: Another bumper question...

I'm not a big fan of the Cobra R bumper. It doesn't look good and is insanely low.

Re: Another bumper question...

Go with the regular cobra bumper, the cobra R bumper does NOT fit with the oem or near oem size side skirts and rear bumper. From the side it looks really out of place. You will also scratch it up and it will look like a POS in no time, with the OEM cobra bumper it will stay looking better for much longer.

You can look up the lip that some people add to the oem cobra front. I think Shinoda makes it and it doesnt look to bad.

Re: Another bumper question...

Ground clearance is your friend not enemy. Go with a Cobra.

Yeah the "R" bumper is a lot lower but if I was going to get that I was going to do a side exhaust kit to equal out the height between the front and sides. The rear I would leave the same for now. What do you think bout that look?
