I have a 01 v6 mustang
, currently there is one 400rms amp, one 12" sub and a 3 farad cap. My current voltage when the car is running is bewteen 14.3 and 14.8. I recently have gotten a zx1500 watt rms kicker amp, two l5 solo barics, a blue top optima and 16' of 0 gauge wire.. By my calculations the 1500w amp will be pulling from 100a-150a, my alternator can put out between 95a-105a. This seems unsustainable and will cause problems correct? Do I need to upgrade my alternator before I install the new system? Here is my wiring diagram.
Here is my the wiring on my 400w amp 12" sub. I plan on putting the second battery by the cap, removing that 12" and sony amp, then running a 0guage power wire from the second battery to cap then to the 1500w amp that will be mounted on a box that sits on my back seat. I need feedback and advice.
