Halo headlights

I have halo head light and on the lights it says that HIDs can't be used. I've heard of people putting the HIDs in there anyways. Can it work?

Well I asked American muscle and they said it's because the housing couldn't take the heat from the lights. But thanks for the help!

Re: Halo headlights

Just make sure you get a good Kelvin temp on your HID bulbs, if you get too high they will be insanely blue and look ricer. Personal preference would be something around 5500k which is basically white in color, also when going between high and low beams the output color will change slightly due to the extra output.

yeah that'll do it, sometimes in smaller housings an HID setup can cause the housing to melt or warp, basically because there is not enough air for heat to dissipate before it reaches the surface of the housing.
