Mach 1000 sub box

I have had a system (amp and subwoofer) in my car twice and taken it out twice mainly due to the fact that the trunk in my 2002 convertible is incredibly small to begin with, but also because the boxes I have used in the past slide around (truck boxes) in the trunk. However after some research I would consider putting an aftermarket subwoofer into the stock mach 1000 sub box (drivers side or passenger side or both). My questions are does Ford sell the Mach 1000 sub boxes? And how exactly does the box mount to the floor/trunk besides being . Thanks guys.

Re: Mach 1000 sub box

Aren't those the actual sub woofers that sit in the corners behind the fender wells?

I know Ford sells the entire mach 1000 system for a rediculous $1300+, but I'm not sure about the individual components.

Re: Mach 1000 sub box

I actually called Ford yesterday and they confirmed with me that the subwoofer enclosures & the tray that it apparently resides in can be sold and is available for $500 & change I think it was around $515, however that is still way to high sorry. In addition both JBL & MTX make custom woofer enclosures for 94-04 hardtops, but nothing for convertibles (I assumed it had to due with the height of the box, however a JL audio tech told me it was more like the panels in the trunk that differ slightly). With the addition of more road noise in a convertible you would think that the market would be large for one of these companies to develop a box.
