Re: Im looking for speakerss???!!!

I believe Boston also makes a 6" X 8" with components. I remember Infinity also made 6" X 8". Infinity is made by Harman, who also make JBL and is a half of Harman/Kardon.

I don't remember if Alpine makes an actual 6" X 8" but I believe their 5" X 7" speaker bracket is designed to fit in a 6" X 8" opening.

Re: Im looking for speakerss???!!!

I know some people are going to say i'm full of s..t but the GM delco speakers with the red sticker on the magnet will hold 500 watts peak easy, If you can find any. They came in the 80's pontiac 6000's and celebrity's and some buicks and others. I have three sets and one set I've ran a 1000 watt pyramid amp on them and they never even got warm jamming to AC/DC back in black.

I've heard the prime 6x8s in a friends car, and they're pretty powerful and clear with only an aftermarket head unit

Re: Im looking for speakerss???!!!

RF (Rockford Fosgate) is a great brand, which you can't really go wrong with. As for Pyle, I think I've only heard them once and I wasn't a fan.

And as for those GM Delco speakers... I'm sure the most power they've handled is 500 watts but you should really be concerned with RMS wattage.

I had 2 12" kicker cvr's and a 1000w street machine amp but i sold those and bought a 12" audiopipe (best brand ever!) sub and 1800w kenwood amp. That sub BEATS!

Rockford fosgate = top quality
Really the only way to go for audio performance
But gets very pricey
I have a new t1500 amp and two p3 subs and it's just breathtaking

Re: Im looking for speakerss???!!!

Polk is pretty good. RF and JL are the way to go though if you want clear on all frequencies.
