painting question

I removed my center console to paint but I need to know how to get the vinly shifter cover off? Is there an eady way without damaging anything? I have a manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check out mustangworld.com. The how-to is there. I know a couple of the guys here know, but at 12:07 at night, I don't think they're on.

its easy.
There are two clips on the top of the shifter boot.

read this how to it will tell you.
