Ok so my left speakers are out and I was wondering if I could wire new ones up using the rca ports on the back of my head unit

That's an aftermarket deck, correct? Are you using the stock speakers or are you putting in aftermarket ones?

Your deck should have 2 wires one labeled left front, the other right front. I believe you will have to run a wire all the way o the speakers, unless they have RCAs

So if I plug an rca cable into the right front speaker port and wire it back to a speaker it will work?

No, if your speakers were designed for RCAs then you woulda have to buy an adaptor kit. I believe your aftermarket speakers run off speaker wire. They should have one, maybe two wires coming off them. You will have to route speaker wire from the door speakers to your stereo deck. The only time you would have to use the RCA inputs is if you keep the Mach 460 (I dont know if yours has it or not) speakers in because those require an adaptor kit. Do you think you could put up a picture of the back of your aftermarket speaker?

But its speaker wires with rca connectors at the one end of them. Why wouldn't it work

I guess that could work. It's just the left speakers correct?

Yeah that seems like it could work. I've honestly never seen that kind of wire before

if you wired it like that you wont get almost no sound from it because rca outputs are for amplifires input and are low in volume /voltage, you dont need to run new speaker wires because is already run tru the midrange/tweeters on the corner of your front doors and rear deck, since ford only made the mach460 for bass really and the highs from the headunit, sow all you need to do is bypass the old system in front doors and rear deck by cutting mach system wires and tapping from mid/tweeter wiring , I will post the diagram in a few hours when I get off work , it would only take you like an hour to do
