can't stop doors from squeaking

sorry everybody but i didn't know where to put this i can't get my doors to stop squeaking there is a little roller type deal towards the bottom of the door that rolls (obviously) when you open and close the doors and it squeaks all the time. i tried oil but it seems i have to apply it every week i tried some grease the other day and it helped for about a day and the squeak came back any suggestions on how to stop it thanks :thumb2:

replacing that thing... does your door feel like it ever locks in any place while you open the door? that rolly thing is there to hold your door open when theres a bit of wind or on a little hill, that sort of thing. I had mine replaced and it stopped

Zim is right !!!! replace the assembly. It probably has a rough groove worn in it and the grease wont last long.

Anyone know the techincal name for the assembly. Mine does the same thing and I can't stand it. I hate greasing it up every week. Would rather just fix it right.
