That is peak power which means nothing. Look for the RMS or nominal power rating, as those are actually power.

A few companies do. Having run several 1-4k watt (RMS!) systems I can say its quite overkill. Not too many people have heard a couple thousand watts of rated power. I've run into many people who were confused that their 3000 watt cheapo amp and subs didnt sound anywhere as good or loud as my 1 15" Solobaric L7 with a Rockford amp rated at 938 watts RMS. Just one example. You get what you pay for. I've been installing for around 12 years now, and in my experience I will now only use Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL, Alpine, and RE Audio. There are other decent brands, but not many. In any as I'm positive your amps 2600 watts is a peak power number. Post the model number and I'll let you know what it really does.

And Rockford makes amps capable of somewhere around 15,000 watts RMS! At a dealer cost of about $18,000 last time I checked. It costs to play with the big dogs....

How much is a 500-100 rms amp? My friend told me my amp only does 260 watts.

A couple hundred for a high quality amp, what subs do you have?

It says 1500 rms, but from a 129 dollar subwoofer I doubt it. They are not even cea certified which mean they can say it handles whatever they want. You may be able to get it to handle 300-500 rms, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You'd be better off picking up a 12" Alpine type r and a 500 watt alpine amp, or Rockford P3 or T0 sub, a Jl W3-W6, or even a kicker cvr or cvx will outperform that PA by leaps and bounds. They can be had for a decent price almost anywhere online. Hell a 10" kicker solo L3 would most likely give you a better sound with higher spl, just some ideas.
