I picked up 4 pieces of industrial strength Velcro. You can see in the pics where I put it. This is the problem area on the boot. That is where it flares up and wont fit flat. I then put the other side on a 4 ft 1/16th by 4ft aluminum bar. This is the brace for it.
I test fit and it touches NOTHING under the boot while on the car. The sides of the top are not even close to it. This piece will be further protected to prevent any issues of it snagging on anything when I get done with it. So far it works great. After I get the boot in place I push down on the bar and its perfectly flat. Its snug as well and wont go anywhere. Both sides snap and everything works great. It was this or some other more drastic measure. This doesn't hurt the boot cover at all~
You can see how flat it makes it in a couple of pictures where I actually put the bar on there snug rather than just letting it sit loose no the Velcro in a couple of the pics.

^^ I hope it does not at well. However, I have not seen a sample yet, so I am not sure. it is something that she keeps posting about and has been since about june/july. "getting there", "almost done", "making progress", "Been busy", blah blah blah.
