Most double din stereos need a wiring harness when installing. If you go to crutchfield.com and click 05GT and the proper stereo you have, they will let you know what harness you need. Usually when you buy one from them, they include it free, not positive on that tho. I'm about to install a DD in my 06GT, thinking the AppRadio, what touch screen are you looking at?

The only difference between the double din and the single din is that the double will need to be tied in to a foot break or parking break. To keep them "legal" but depending on what kind of head unit they may only need ground.

I Installed one awhile back and i ordered mine of Crutchfield it came with the wire harness and everything. can't go wrong with Crutchfield..maybe not the greatest prices of all time but they are a pretty damn helpful Co.

depending on the brand u get you can just wire the E brake wire to ground wire and you can always see the movies while driving, or to a single pole toggle switch

I recently installed the pioneer avh-p8400bh on my 06 GT...it's an awesome unit and very easy to install it yourself. Bought it from crutchfield and brought everything needed for the install except the bypass.
