Sub not working!

i just installed a new kenwood touch screen and the sub is wanting to play to the music, when i first plugged it in it worked for a minute or 2. then just all of a sudden cut out, and non of the wires were touched from before. any help?!

Are we talking a aftermarket sub or factory? Start with power. Make sure you have 12v everywhere you should. If you do have power then measure the resistance and make sure that is correct.

You dont have a mono amp do u? Assuming it it all aftermarket.

2 12inch subs, their not mine its a customers. but it worked for a few min then it all cut out i still get music but no sub. and all the wiring is fine.

Check amp fuses and any other inline fuses you have. Kinda amp you dealing with here?

i checked all the fuses, i honestly couldnt tell ya. some off brand stuff.

I had the problem of having a 600 w mono amp hooked to two 12s after being told it should be big enough to push both speakers, it clearly wasnt. So we went and bought 2 channel with enough power and it worked just fine. It sounds like exactly the same problem we had, thats why i suggest makin sure you ars dealing with compatible equipment here.

after trouble shooting for about 3 hours..... the amp was blown.
